Refrigerator, Wine Cooler, Refrig Equipment Vents

Gosh, every week we get a few requests for Sub Zero, or various other Refrigerator brands, Wine Cooler or other equipment vents.  Often we need to integrate into the cabinetry, to complement the lines, the woods or styles.

With Wine Coolers or Wine Rooms often we need to create a certain air flow into and throughout the room in order to keep the corks from drying and to keep a constant temp and humidity even into the corner areas.  Sometimes, it is helpful for us to get an idea of the layout of the room, how high the air vent or air return is to be located, inrelation to the bottles or racks.

With Refrigerators, sometimes the equipment venting is on the top and sometimes on the bottom however it is always important to make this unsightly portion of the equipment appealing.  Often the cabinetry is built around or over the equipment so the wood needs to match and complement the wood work.

Just choose the style you prefer, such as a louvered style, a grate style, laser design, stone, wood and the size and any other information you want to add into the equasion and we will figure out the best solution.

If you want the Louvered or Grate Style, just go to the Air Returns for Walls, Ceilings and Cabinetry for an overview and give us an email, call or fax and we will get you a quote right away.

For the Laser Design styles or the Stone Vents go to those respective pages. You can see an Overaview at  www.americanwoodvents.com  (the home page)

We can be contacted right away by calling, email or fax.  We also have a little ”Contact Us”  quick form to the RIGHT side top of the page.

Our Phone number is either 800-232-8353 or 800-280-9464 and the FAX is 888-468-0239

Swamp Cooler Vents

Swamp Coolers can have ugggly metal vent covers, can’t they?  And they are always in the most conspicuous place, aren’t they? Right in the place everyone who visits you can see.  If you want to cover up that ceiling or upper wall area with a beautiful and functional cover, you came to the right place.

We can even angle the vent to best diffuse air into your living space in the most efficient manner.

For example, we had a customer with a Swamp Cooler on the Roof and that metal vent was just an eyesore.  He also had the opening right next to the door into the next room,  so he wanted to push the air in 2 directions, both into the living room and into the kitchen area.

So we made one which had 1/3rd of the louvers slant into the other room and 2/3rds of the Louvers slant into the living room area.

I think I have a picture of this one, let me see….  Oh, yes, I found it.

You can see the next room to the right side and how some of the louvers slant towards that room.   This one was in White Pine.

Just measure the opening cutout of your Swamp Cooler vent and let us know what  you need and we will get you back a quote right away.

Just go to the home page at www.americanwoodvents.com  to go right to the Air Returns (even if this is a supply swamp cooler type) and pick out your style first.  Then get the size and we can work out how the vent needs to “throw” the air into your living or working area.

Call us at 800-232-8353 or 800-280-9464  or fax to 888-468-0239.

Designers, Kitchen & Bath, Cabinet Millwork

Designers, kitchen & bath and the Cabinet millwork companies have come to count on us for fast quotes, excellent customer service and quality products for years.

Not only for Floor, Ceiling, Air returns in Cabinetry or walls and tough to fit toekick vents, but also for odd stuff like we have one customer who hides safes in walls, under cabinets and behind vents.  The vent face just unscrews or pops off and back in the hole you find a safe.

For example here is what some customers said:

Thank you for the fast turn around time. My customer loves me now.

Brad

That was a complicated quote and I was under the gun to turn in my bid to the GC. Thank you for getting the quote to me so quickly and after hours.

Wall & Ceiling Supply Vents

There is not a specific page for Wall & Ceiling Supply vents or registers yet, however you can just go to Air Returns  and click on Wall , Ceiling and Cabinetry page and we can go from there.

With Supply vents, you can specify how the louvers are positioned to best supply air into your room.  Sometimes you want the louvers to diffuse air in 2 directions (louvers parallel with the short sides) or sometimes with longer supply vents (we have made them 60 inches in length) we can diffuse the air in 3 ways (1/3rd of the louvers slant left, 1/3 rd are straight out & 1/3rd are slanting right).  We can also have the louvers parallel with the long side and can change the angle of throw as well.  We did some for a Hotel and they needed the throw straight out into the room.  We did some for a Restaurant and they wanted 3 way supply vents.

For the Ceiling we can sometimes do 4 way depending upon the specifications. Just let us know what you need and we are happy to get you a fast quote.

Wooden Floor Registers

For wooden floor registers that fit any size duct opening and don’t detract from the beauty of your flooring, our solid wood registers are ideal. At American Wood Vents, we believe that a register should be well crafted and elegant in its own right, not just something that needs to serve a function. Each of our registers is handmade by a skilled woodworker and is carefully built from individual wood pieces so it will last for generations to come.

We have numerous standard sizes of registers available. Options include two-inch by 10-inch, four-inch by 10-inch, two-inch by 12-inch, four-inch by 12-inch, and all the way up to six-inch by 14-inch. Of course, if you require a larger or smaller size, you only need to tell us your dimensions and we’ll be glad to create a custom register.

Our online custom ordering system makes it quick and easy to send us your specifications for wooden floor registers. To measure for your register, simply determine the height and width of your duct opening. If your register needs to fit in a tight space or needs to sit a certain distance from the wall, be sure to make a note of it. The spacing around your register is important, as it may affect what type of mounting system you choose.

Most of our registers have a 7/8-inch lip around the perimeter that holds the vent in place. However, if you need to make that lip smaller or larger, we are happy to accommodate your request. If you have any questions about custom orders, we encourage you to contact us at 800-232-8353 or info@americanwoodvents.com.

Wood Heating Vents

If you’ve invested time and money installing gorgeous hardwood floors and trim, or if you value the hardwood details in your period home, why not preserve the beauty of your property with wood heating vents that blend seamlessly with your decor? At American Wood Vents, we have years of experience creating handmade wood vents that will be at home even in state-of-the-art contemporary houses and rustic lake cabins alike.

Our wood heating vents are made of individually cut louvers and frames, making them both sturdy and beautiful. We attach each piece with the grain running perpendicular to the frame, providing maximum durability. Unlike many other wood heating vents on the market, ours will not warp in humid conditions.

To accommodate different styles of homes, we offer several options for mounting your vent. If you would like your vent to be completely level with the surrounding floor, wall, or ceiling, consider our flush mount style. For a custom look, you can add a frame to flush-mount styles as well, in a matching or contrasting wood. Our drop-in styles are great for most types of duct openings, and feature an inner frame and an outer lip to hold the vent in place.

If for some reason you don’t want to insert the interior of the grate into your duct, you might opt for our surface mount style, which fits only over the top of the opening. We also make it easy to order custom sizes and styles right on our website. If you’d like to speak with a member of our staff at any time, just call 800-232-8353 or email info@americanwoodvents.com
